never underestimate {the powers} of justification

last night, the husband and i set out to wal-mart for butter, photo splits, and band-aids.

we ended up going to michales, big lots (we have one now, ohemgeeee!), and then, finally, wal-mart and ended up with:

  • two pads of scrapbooking paper
  • sticker maker refills
  • 3 packs of scrapbooking stickers
  • psycho II
  • pshyco III
  • save the last dance
  • 2 photo storage boxes
  • super duper conditioning cream
  • various other HBA products (for my girly-man husband)
  • butter, photo splits, & band-aids

how does that happen? i go out, planning to spend $10, and always spend 10x that much!

i have no shopping restraint.

i'll attempt justifying....i really DID need scrapbook paper, because i was down to only seasonal. justified, check! i really did need sticker maker refills, because...its always good to have a back up! justified, check! the scrapbooking stickers were a must have as well, because you can never have too many letter stickers because you're constantly missing an 'a' or an 'e'. justified, check! pshyco II and pshycho III were absolutely necessary as well, because i'm going to be all alone on halloween as all of the police officers (like, y'know, the husband) are being called in as reinforcements in town, so i must have something to watch in all my loneliness. justified, check! i was thinking about save the last dance the other day, then saw it in the $5 bin, and well, thats kinda like destiny, or fate, or something, right? justified, check! & the photo storage boxes....well, i have photos that aren't stored. justified, check! and i needed the super duper conditioning cream because being properly conditioned is always important, plus, it was on CLEARANCE. justified, check! and, well, i guess the HBA products for my girly-man husband can be justified simply by defnining him as a girly-man. justified, check!

never underestimate the powers of justification!

I've never seen someone so excited for Big Lots, yet another reason I adore you.
